I'm at a large University. We have a Goose problem. We were using the Geese police, with Border Collies. But due to budget, Purchasing now wants us to use a product called Goosechase made by Bird-X.
Has anyone used this and if so, what is your opinion. Does it have damaging affect on grass, and does it deter the Geese ?

I am posting this in multiple forums to get as much exposure as I can on it.

Never heard of it, is it a loud noise or something
I have heard good to great results, sometimes it doesn't work at all, with coyote cutouts, they are a picture of a lifesized coyote mounted to a stake. It moves as the wind blows and seems to keep them away
I know they are cheap, although the students might like them too

Nothing beats patroling border collies when you have a goose problem.
But if I had to choose a liquid spray product to use, I'd use Flight Control because of the combination of visual and taste deterrents.

It's a liquid, you spray on the lawn.

Apparently there's a law suit spat going on right now between Bird-X and Flight Control over Bird-X's candid allegations on their web site regarding Flight Control's A.I, antrhoquinone.
They've capitalized on the fact that in September 2007, the California Environmental Protection Agency added anthraquinone to the list of chemicals known to cause cancer.
But when you sit back & really think about it, Californians today think that everything gives them cancer! :wall

I like 3" BBB Nitro Steel.
<--- had a 50 yard one shot drop with it last season.
(I think it's just us Minnesotans and one Texan that get this goose control solution)

My first thoughts were some FFDs and a couple of layout blinds too.
But that being said, i have seen flight control work fairly well.
But honestly the only way to keep them gone is burn em off with a shotgun or the dogs.

Dogs work the best but Flight control is a good product also. there is other goose control services that have cheaper prices. I own and operate a goose control service and we are definetly cheaper. Unfortunatly we don't service that area.
