Any one buying work??? Stupid telemarketers!

Ok, I've gotten this call twice now, both times on a Sunday evening. "Hi, this is Anthony and I have several clients in your area who need a landscaper NOW, give me a call and we can work something out, I'll be in the office after 8:30 tommorow" He says the name of the company and the 888 number too.
Its funny b/c he 1st called back when we still had snow on the ground-ya rite, I'm sure alot of people whre calling for L. scape work then??
Also, I don't like the sales approach he's using. I'm supposed to pay him to get me work. I don't think so.
Anybody actually call back a company like this and see what their scam is?

The SCAM sounds like you pay him and he gives you some names of people who once you contact them dont know what you're talking about..... If they are REALLY looking for an LCO the homeowners will call themselves...

I'm sure it's mostly a scam, and also probably a company wanting to sell you a franchise type deal where they do all the advertising in your area and then you do all the work, then they collect a good chunk of your profits. They prey on fools that don't think they can do it themselves.

They are sales calls from guys trying to get you in what ever publication they are trying to fill. I get those calls all the time.

A big one around here guys trying to fill advertising for golf course pubs of some sort. Their big pitch is that you will be the only lco in there. It's b.s.

Don't even get me started on the fop calls!!!!
