Doesn't seem like many people post pictures of 21 stripes so I thought I would throw these up, keep in mind this was the first cut of the year and honestly it does look nicer in person. It was done with a new style Lawnboy commercial. Let me know what you think....

You did a real nice job there!!

I think you need to buy a bigger mower for that job. I would never use a 21" mower on a property that size. A 48" would cut your time in half if not more with the increased speed. Looks good but save yourself some time and money and get a bigger mower!!!

Wow, good job keeping straight lines, especially on the hills. That's something I still need to work on. How long does that take you; it looks like a pretty big area for a 21.

Those are nice stripes for a 21 incher. I agree get a bigger mower and then you will have really awesome stripes on that property. My turf tracer would lay down really good stripes there.

Real nice man. But like the others said...a bigger mower would make that so much easier.

How long did that take you! omg looks good but I would be dead after that one account. You must have huge arms and legs after that...wouldn't even need to go to the gym! Great effort and straight lines!

Well, it was either get a bigger mower or a new truck and I wasn't finding any decent used trucks so I have a 2009 silverado in the driveway and I am stuck with a 21 for now. I am going to be getting a bigger mower shortly here anyhow. The field pictured only took me 40 minutes and the entire property took me 6 hours, it was not as bad as I was expecting.

$400 per cut for the entire complex that includes trimming edging and the whole nine which took me 6 hours to push mow and 8 hours altogether. It will be a great moneymaker once I get a bigger mower going.
I appreciate the compliments from everyone, I busted my ass getting that place done yesterday.

I am up on lake erie, I know its alot of work but I kinda enjoy the challenge. And bytheminute I wish it was that simple by a have got alot of other expenses eating my funds right now but within a month I should be able to get another big mower. I have one currently it is just a very old scag which no longer has any life left in it. I figure I need to get another big mower quickly so my customers don't get to used to me push mowing it every cut haha.

How do you like the new LawnBoy Mower? We are just looking at getting one ourselves. Wicked work!!!

I would have bought a larger mower rather then spend how much on a 09 full size truck? You didn't look to hard did ya? I'm always keeping my eyes peeled for a nice truck. I found a Chevy in great shape with 100K, new BFG tires, 4x4 one owner but the guy doesn't do trade-ins.

I was looking for a half ton chevy regular cab long bed in black or grey so it wasn't easy to come by. And I have since bought a bigger mower so it was only a temporary inconvenience.

The lawn boy is great, I previously ran a honda hrc and I like the cut from this better combined with the fact you can mulch side discharge and bag right out of the box it is a better choice for all around use. The lawnboy also goes faster than the hondas it goes fast enough to drag you around at the end of the day :)

I have the big league roller on it which is nice unless you are mowing in a super tight area which sometimes it gets in the way. I included a picture of it for everyone to see the setup.

The mower cost me $715, and in the big fields I do not bag but the small front yards and courtyards I bag. The customer has no preference I just bag some areas for my own sake.

i assume that is the commerical lawn boy because of the orange rims, the only nice thing about the older lawn boys is the gas tank was much bigger and you could grease the axle and rim.

You're correct, they are not greaseable but hey sealed bearings will last well enough. Sometimes I do miss the old two cycle goofy wheel lawnboys but I still say this a great machine and the honda engine is much easier to work with.

I get a kick of (around here at least) how homeowners try and mimic LCO's and stripes with angles and such. I use 21'' mowers too for certian things but to me no matter who cuts it, it looks like the highschool kid around the block mowed it.

Your one brave man to mow that yard with a push! I'll never complain again about mowing big properties with my Ferris WB 48''...

wow, if you spent $10k on a brand new ZTR, youd have $15k for a used truck. you couldnt find a nice used truck for $15k?? and you could 4x as much a day with a ztr. so start thinking that even if you were only able to do twice as much a day, thats $400 a day more, times 5 days a week, times four weeks. $8000 a month should be able to get you whatever truck your heart desires. how much money is that truck making you? to each his own....but its my oppion that some just dont make wise descions.

that looks really good. i think its harder to stripe with a 21'' because they are so light and have hard tires that if you get going good they bounce around a lot

I appreciate the compliments, as for the decision in buying a truck rather than a new w/b maybe it wasn't the best thing to do but I have since got another mower and I only had to push mow my accounts for 3 weeks. that was a small sacrifice in my opinion for getting the new truck with warranty and everything and knowing that my rig will be reliable week in and week out. My poor lawnboy had to suffer for it but thats how it goes. To green with envy running the push mower actually landed me two new accounts where the previous guys had tore them up with a rider and they wanted push mowed. So as for it looking not professional I would have to disagree with you. I just hope my customers get back used to being cut with a walkbehind not a push.
