I am finishing up a 12-zone system that someone else started (lot's of fun......not) and the pump start relay and the pump are within 5 feet of the
Pro-C controller. The Pro-C manual says that the controller should be at least 15 feet away from both the pump start relay and the pump.
Do you know why the 15 feet is specified and do I, in fact, need to move the controller further away?
Thanks / Regards,
Mex

I agree but it is right there in the Pro-C manual. I certainly do not want to move it unless I have to!
Thanks for your quick reply!

Because the controllers are such low-power electronics, they are all that much more susceptible to inference. That said, I haven't seen any problems.

If it is because of the magnetic field, then you are probably OK at 5 feet, but further would be better. Only way to find out is try it.
