Hey everyone, Ive been lurking on here for a while and finally decided to sign up and say hi. This is an excellent site with excellent information I look forward to expanding my landscaping knowledge.

So a little about me, im 20 years old with a wife and a one year old beautiful daughter. I own a vending business and work for a private security company. I like doing vending but I hate security. I work stupid hours and its boring work. When I was 17-19 I worked for a landscaper. I absoutly loved it. I ended up being pretty close to running his whole business. I kept and gained new accounts for him all the time. But I wasnt getting paid what I should have gotten so I left. I have kept a few of my own lawns in the meantime. Every year ive said im going to expand and have my own company, but I never have. This year is different. Thats what brings me here.

So enough of the rambling. I need a little help guys. Im trying to find a mower that suits my needs. I need something that will fit through gates thats is quick, reliable, and cuts good, electric start is not important to me. A rider would be nice but its out of my price range. Im looking at a couple 33 inch walkbehinds but I cant decide which one. Let me know what yall think. Here are the links:

Three: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_07188998000P?mv=rr

Those mowers are in my price range. I wouldnt want to go any higher than that. Im leaning more towards the first one but I really cant decide.

I already have a Murray 6.5 hp 21" that I love but I need something bigger. I also have an Echo backpack blower and a bolens trimmer all carried in a 2009 Ford Ranger 4.0l 5 speed. I know yall want pics but im sorry I currently do not have a camera.

Sorry for the long introduction. But thanks in advance for the advice.

Well....really, you wouldnt want any of those machines. they may be enticing with cheap prices and brand new looks, but you probably wouldnt be happy with it in the long run. briggs engines are ok, but not in commercial applications; they just dont hold up. if you got a cub cadet, it would have to be one of the upper end ones. also, you do NOT want to have to get stuck lugging around a giant mower with no power steering! you will get so tired after a few lawns....so heres what you do

stay away from briggs. kawasaki, kohler, honda, whatever. but no briggs.

get on craigslist OR ebay (id go with ebay) and find yourself a decent used mower. trust me, you can find a decent exmark, scag, toro, walker, hustler, lesco...almost anything on ebay for 300 up to 3000 or more. and at 1200-2000, there will be plenty of choices. 36ers will fit thru gates too. so have fun, go shopping, and good luck mowing! oh, and, by the way, get legit if you start mowing a lot...

agreed buy a commercial grade mower!!!!! those mowers will not last. Scag is what i would recommend!

Trust me guys I would LOVE to buy a commercial mower but do not want to go into debt to buy one. These mowers are in my price range and I would like to stay there if possible. I do not expect this mower to last me 10 years. I also do not want a used mower that is so used that I constantly have something wrong with it. I have a briggs motor on my 21" and have not had a thing go wrong with it in the 5+ years ive had it. Also power steering does not bother me at all. I have used a toro walkbehind with no power steering with no problem at all.

So out of these mowers, which do yall think is best?

there all junk in my opion, and your best option would be to buy a lightly used walkbehind. trust me if you look you can find one

Thanks! But I just got a snapper 32" walkbehind. Price was 1000. That scag looks beautiful! Although it was a little bit out of my price range.
