5x8, only one mower, blower, and trimmer are needed at a time

Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, but I hate sandals. To me, wearing sandals on the job is a sign of immaturity and irresponsibility. Now, I'm not trying to bash our friend here for riding around with sandals, I don't know if he was working or just taking the Allis for a spin. And, I don't really like seeing people's feet.

I got that Allis for free from a neighbor a while back. Just needed a charge. Made thousands with it. Put a new muffler on for $40. Sold it for $50. Now that's a deal.

do good work, act professional, and get a good relationship going with your clients. no business grows over night so youve gotta be patient.
isnt it tuff paying for all those walk behind and echo blowers with 2-5 accounts? if you want to grow your business i would get rid of one of the walkbehinds. ive learned the hard way in running my business that you should try to make as much money off of each piece of equipment, use it as often as you can, and have just the equipment that you need to run your business smoothly. if you're one guy using one walk behind on a couple lawns, is the other wb making you money sitting in the garage? probably not. I know that having new and alot of equipment is sweet but all the equipment in the world will not make a succesful business overnight. Not tryin to bash you at all dude just helpin you out with stuff ive learned that i dont want you to have to learn the hard way.
work hard, do good work, and word of mouth will beef up your client base in no time.
Good luck dude!

thanks alot Paul for posting your input, I have lately found that taking the extra 5 to ten minutes to spruce up the yard goes a long way and it seems that word is spreading better than it was.
The husqvarna trimmer, one of the blowers, and the proline are not mine personally. I work for a construction company on the side and I take care of his 3 properties, I use his mower, blower, and trimmer for that but he lets me use them for my work as well, I use the metro for my clients' yards. So in theory I have 7 clients, 3 are his. I use my rig for mowing his properties but Im on his timeclock. In return, I get to keep my trailer at his shop which is a good deal for me.

oh sweet deal dude! and sorry if i was sounding tough, i wasnt trying to. but it looks like youve got good work lined up and your business will rock and roll in no time! yah its so true, that extra 5 or 10 minutes can work miracles in building a good business. keep it up dude!

hey thanks, no you weren't sounding tough, I would have thought the same thing. Plus both mowers don't fit on the trailer.

I just got a set of fastraps for my birthday, they are awesome, they really do cut down on time.
What is a good cut height setting for the best cut with both the Metro, and the Proline? The cut isn't that great. I know that the exmark has one caster spacer above, 3 below. It is at axle position D. There are 3 or four blade spacers below the spindle. What would be best?
