Redmax 8000 bp blower is running like crap. It will run fine until about 11am. Then it has spurts of power. It goes in and out from full throttle. I changed the fuel filter but still the same. Air filter is new

Hey buddy. I noticed that you are from New Jersey like me. I am still sweating! This is the problem.
One. We are still running winter fuels in New Jersey. They will be switched on May 1
Second. Winter fuels contain more oxygen. The oxygen expands as the temps rise. These bigger oxygen bubbles can not pass through the carb's jet
Third. EPA regulations suck. All the new redmax backpacks and even some of the old ones do this heat soak sh*t.
Here is what I did. I had the dealership drill out all my redmax backpack jets. He ran a super tiny hand drill bit through the jet. It is such a small increase, but it fixed the problem. I do use a TINY bit more fuel, but on more heat soak sh*t on days like this. I WANT POWER WHEN I NEED IT! I will burn the few extra gallons of fuel a year if I can get my jobs done. Hope this helps. Stay cool and enjoy the next few days.

thanks for the info. If that fixes it, then thats what will be done. Out of 3 blowers a 1/2 of one was working the past couple days. I'll ask a dealer, hope that they will do it.

Now that is interesting. I have a blower sitting on my bench that some times will run fine, run the tank dry and restart with out a problem, then again will only run 15 or 20 minutes that boogs down and dies, won't restart with out a fight.......Interesting because it came in on Monday and I'm in South Jersey. With it being so cool today, I'll have to check it first thing tomorrow.
