My 304 CCR has started to make a whining pump noise after it warms up and only under load.
Only 800 hrs on the machine... What is the likely cause? pump failure?:canadaflag:

It sounds like you are low on Hydraulic fluid.

Hey mini man are you happy with your 304? I have a 305ccr and the machine can just dig like you wouldnt belive. Tons of power and very comfortable

If the fluid was low enough for it to whine. You have caused damage. Usually when the fluid is low the machine will cavitate first. If it is whining it could be a couple things stuck valve or maybe a valve going over relief. There is the old stand by of changing the hyd. filter to see if that makes a difference.

Oil level was fine....Cat tech took an SOS oil sample today...he did not hear any cavitation...the noise makes me ware ear plugs it is o annoying.
