Ok over the next few days I will try and put some more pictures up from working... here's a few to start. First set, I didn't do the install or anything and the last guy to do it was a hack and in my opinion it looks like ****, but the owners aren't about to sink more money into redoing it so.... have to live with it.

Rented ASV to try it out, took a bunch of stumps and shrubs out.

MysticLandscape

More of the ASV ...

Then last weekend needed the mini ex to do a few jobs.

Joel isn't bad, better than me thats for sure. Don't listen to Mica.

Mica, those people don't bat and eye at pricing. :cool2:

I think it took him in the area of 30 min to get the three stumps out. Kinda hard with just a bucket, the machine had pretty impressive breakout force. Two of my other buddies that run S300's daily said they were impressed.

3 guys for now with the spring rush, About another month and it will be back to two, although I am not sure, I will keep the other guy on as long as it takes. As far as lawns I am not really sure, in the area of 60-70. I gained more then I lost this year. Making mowing routes today, haven't had time. I only spend about 3k a year on advertising, and that keeps me plenty busy, I am still in college for another two years. Word of mouth is hands down the best seller. Dump truck isn't paid off, I would rather pay for school now, the dump truck can wait.

Ive got about 1 full month of mulching booked which well start monday , and itll get us to june, but from know to then im sure ill get enought work to book up june. I cant believe youve got 70 lawns thats awsome, ive been doing this for 6 years know and weve only got 40. maybe more guys in my area everywhere i look there another company growing. same trailer as me.. but somehow he managed to get sides on the back doors using the stake pockets which I can't do because there are bolts which hold the latch on screwed into the stake pockets so you can't get a piece of wood in there... :(

Plus a reason to use the dump trailer over the truck is that with sides the dump trailer is nearly 20 yards compared to 4 with a p/u with insert

x2... there are more pro's to a dump trailer then a truck. More volume, weight, no insurance, little maintenance, etc etc

If its 25 yards, thats 675 cubic feet...

16' (length) x 6.83' (inside width) = 109.28

675 feet / 109.28 = sides are 6.17 feet high.

Looks more like a 14 footer but who knows, but yeah they hold a lot.

Don't know what he tows it with tho.. 25 yards of mulch weighs 18,750 pounds plus the trailer weight is like almost 23k pounds.. too much to tow, and way over the trailers rating. Good for brush and stuff tho.

not a walk a retaing wall around the tree to build it up for it become a raised bed and make the house pop idc about the tree if the homeowner wants it and is willing to pay 5k for it you do what needs to be done

If all that damage to the roots doesnt hurt the tree then the tree will knock down the wall because of the roots.

I would have tried to get the customer not to put a wall there.

Mica once they lady has her mind set on somthing theres really no turning back. If we dont do it someone else will. Maybe we can talk her into taking the tree's down too. We will see what happens. Joel has been on that project doing everything I have had little to do with it.

i agree with Micah , i have nothing but respect for you Tim and Joel but i would never agree to do that to a tree. the chances of that tree living are slim also the wall buckling from the tree roots under the base is another possibility. i don't mean to step on toes at all with this post i would just be cautious with this customer that if the tree falls or dies she doesn't try anything against your company cause people are crazy like that

There isn't much commerical area around here to keep stuff. And decent place with a nice shop within ten miles is 3-4k a month and thats not in the budget right now since I am paying my way through college while trying to expand. I keep stuff all over the place. so everything isn't clustered together. I wouldn't dream of dumping stuff in a residental area. I'm in the same boat as you in a densely populated area and in college. I found a place where I have enough room to park 4 trucks and trailers and room for firewood, mulch, etc.

I just dont see why Joel, a person who brags about how he is certified in everything from weedwacking to running an excavator and does EVERYTHING by the book comes on here and calls his nieghbors "azholes" when you have 2+ commercial vehicles parked and dumping illegally......

That is all I'm saying....I'm NOT trying to start anything.

i was going though my old pics and found all my old trucks so the f-150 was first then put a 6inch left in then sold it bought an 05 f-350 with a 6.0 in it that was stolen then bought my 97 f-250 7.3 sold that bc the front end kept blowing out so then i traded if it for the dodge and now i bought the ford

the bucket truck was a truck i picked up from auction i put a plow on it and plowed state then used it for tree work

the cat backhoe i used to put in a sidewalk and a parking pad

ya ill be up there proubly last week in oct, i just got a flyer in the mail from dons $50 off the echo 755 they want like $449 for it brand new pritty good deal i think we already have 2 they are pritty nice. Really want to get a dump insert on that chevy though id like to have the ex-cab dually dump and the srw chevy with insert running for clean-ups , we went to the dump twice a day last fall-clean-up season running just the gmc dump so hoping with the insert we can stay on site a little longer instead of spending an hr in the middle of the day hauling. Load both trucks all day then haul to the dump at night.

ya joel that service body is ok. Im not going to lie it aint brand new, the rear is very nice, has all its door they all open and shut and stuff, its navy blue, but with alittle work on some of the doors and a cheap macco paint job it would look brand new. If youre seroius about it ill take some pics and post them on this page. Im not really looking to get alot out of it just alittle somthing.

Some idiot called the EPA cause I was dumping grass on one of my accounts and I was within so many feet of a river. $500 fine for one walker full of grass. :hammerhead:

I know it sucks for you, but I find it really funny that you got a $500 fine for one hopper of grass near a river, and our municipal compost/brush dumping site is literally 50ft from the edge of a creek

Pete, No taking it on and off, went on the other day and that's where it stays till the last leaf is sucked. Ill get a pick of it actually dumping this week. I have been lifting that thing on and off my dump truck for 3 years and I have enough of that so I wanted to change it up and mount it permanently to the front of the trailer which was part of the plan when I bought the trailer.

Green, Its an 06 F350 got 89k on it only a few small things that weren't engine related, it needs a glow-plugged replaced as we speak but I don't have time to put it in the shop right now so its going to have to wait for a rainy day or till the leaf seasons over. Other than that it hasn't missed a day of work ( or play) in over 4 years, its my baby rarely does anyone else drive it. Say what you want about 6.0s but I love mine.

Trailer looks great. I mounted mine the same way on the front of my dump trailer. My only advice to you is rotate the machine 90 degrees so that the intake tube comes out towards the passenger side thats how I mounted mine and its alot better since theres no bend in the pipe when driving along curbs sucking leaves. I have a salsco loader (same as ur lesco) so Im sure you shouldn't have a problem doing it.

Wow can't believe its been almost a whole year since I have been on here, goes to show you what kind of a year it has been. Finishing up my last year at school and preparing for one crazy fall leading into winter. I saw a substantial growth on my maintenance side this season adding a ton of new accounts, which is going to lead to more purchases next year but for now here is the latest...

2006 S300 2 Speed only 300 hours.... Standard foot pedal controls. Took me awhile to find a low hour machine like this but I am happy with it, cant wait to push some snow with her. I know its not chained down I just put it on the trailer and need to cut the chains to length.:dizzy:
