I saw an idea for all you VTS'ers that complain about the excess width creating havoc with your trailer fenders and that stupid bolt.
I saw a dude with a VTS equipped skid steer, he put 1x12 timbers on his deck (where the tracks would sit) to raise the machine up to clear the fenders, the ends were beveled to get the machine to rise up. It looks a little goofy, but it seemed to work for him.
And if you don't need them, he could just pop a few screws out and slide them off.

Yeah, that's a simple and more reasonable way to beat it. I just don't get some stuff that Loegering does/did on the VTS. Why couldn't they use something like a button head bolt? I'll just go mutter in the corner for awhile...

Or you could buy the right trailer from the beginning and never have to make something goofy like that.. :cool2:
That is a good idea though..

What bolt are you talking about. I bought a set of VTS 4.5 years ago and haven't noticed a bolt that is in the way. I put the tracks on a 90XT and had to take them off last week because I heard a bearing squeaking in the track system. I've had two flat tires on my loader since last week also. BTW my case is 88" wide with the tracks on.

There is a bolt on the front that sticks out some. On mine it sticks out roughly 3/4". How much gap did you have between the track and the loader frame?
My big thing(and I complain about it a lot) is I don't want to have to get another trailer, also sometimes it's tight with the 80" bucket. At 88" wide, I wouldn't fit.

When I went to work today I did look and I did see 2 bolt heads sticking out about 3/4".
One bolt is at the bottom and the other half way up toward the front. If I go by there tomorrow I will measure the gap between the track and machine.
