Hey guys just check to see if anyone could tell if Georgia requires a special license to install sprinkler systems and french drains and such. I know you are supposed to have a plumber tap into the main line and install the backflow but that is all I know. I have a guys who used to work for a company teaching me the how to's and I don't want to pi** off any HOA's and get busted if I am ignorantly doing something wrong.

Cute cat. You could just call the local water department and ask them. Better yet go to building codes and permits and ask them what is required to pull a sprinkler permit. Every state as you may well know is different and even then every city or county may have their own thing as well. Having a good relationship with the people that yea or nay your work require a little bit of effort on your part.

Up here and in Arizona you can go online to get that info, you should be able to do that in Georgia.

thanks guys, what I found online says there is no specific requirement for repair or install unless again like I said it involves the back flow or main line tap, I appreciate the comments though

I'd say you're like WA State then; "shovel & a pickup + contractor's license."
