I have a 2004 Great Dane Chariot Sr 61" deck. I bought it used last year with 400 hours. Lately when I start it, sometimes the starter doesn't engage till I move the right steering stick back and forth to find neutral. I'm thinking it is the RH neutral switch that is going bad. How do I test this switch? The dealer that sold this unit is not carrying Great Dane anymore. Only Toro non commercial and, until recently, Everide. I guess they can still get Great Dane parts though.
The switch seems so simple to replace that I'd rather keep the labor money in the company account and do the repair myself. That is, of course, if the switch is the problem.
By the way, today it wouldn't turn over at all. Well, it ran all day till I got it back to the barn then I had to tow it off the trailer to work on tomorrow.
