It looks like one of the CAT dozers that the Israeli's use on the homes of Palestinians once they find out their son was a suicide bomber.

I'd tend to agree with that.
The US military also has large combat dozers, but those don't appear to be Americans next to it.
The glass is all bullet "resistant" and there's tons of armor plating.
The cage around it is to protect against an RPG blast. The RPG hits the cage and detonates there instead of directly against the machine spreading out the impact rather than allowing the shape charge to do its deadly deed.
Now the big question is: Where the hell do they get in?

Its called a D9 combat tractor.
The one in the pic is of an Israeli machine.
The armor is called "Slat armor" It does what Cat man says.
Its hinged in front of the door so it will swing away to gain access to the cab.
These are used when they find out your someone in your family is doing something bad.
Wierd military machines are a bit of a hobby of mine.

That is the same sort of stuff you see around the Stryker. They also use it in certain places on the Abrams.
I believe the Marines used their combat dozers to level parts of Fallujah.

Here is what happens when a combat tractor, as I now know they are called, gets hit by an RPG.

Very cool! I used to think that in our search for Bin Laden what would be wrong with lining up 100 of these blade to blade and sweeping across the countryside. We would either root him out or bury him deeper in his underground shelters.
