Hello, Not sure if I am posting in the correct forum Please correct me if I'm not. Could anyone provide me with the retail value of a brand new Bluebird aerator 530 & the Bluebird power rake pr18. The reason I ask is I have a chance to purchase both these units brand new never used from an estate sale & want to make sure they are worth it. The aerator is a Bluebird 530 (they are asking $1300) and the power rake is a PR18 (they are asking $1000). if I get these units they will be used on my personal 2 acre property. Thanks for the help.
Ray.

Take a look at ebay. I know these units won't be new, but you can sometimes get a decent idea of second hand value. Even though these units look new, they still don't come with a warranty so they shouldn't be sold at new value.
As for buying these for your personal property, probably not worth it. I have maintain family land of around 5 acres (among several houses). I tried to justify buying units but it just comes out so much cheaper to rent. Plus rentals you don't have the nuisance of maintaining yet another motor and have another option to try new products as they come onto the market. In the end, I just couldn't justify it.

The aerator is a good deal but the thatcher is not a great one depending on the engine. I would not buy any of that to maintain 2 acres of land. It would be cheaper to rent them both for a day. I could rent both machines around here for like $100.
