Will it hurt the seeding process if seed is applied after lawn has been fertilized with a pre emergent? Any advice will help. Thanks.

You cant put down a premergent within 4 months - 6 months of seeding.

It creates a barrier and the seeds wont grow.

If it is spot repair you want to do, you still can. Dig out some soil from the spot, add new top soil, seed and topdress, preferrably with a starter soil. Beyond that, depending on the pre-emergent you used, wait until the fall, early fall for pendimethalin (Scotts), later for Barricade (prodimine)
