Need help identifying and killing this lawn weed

I live in southern Louisiana and in the last several weeks my St aug lawn has been overtaken by the weed?? flower ??? pictured below please help me identify and eliminate this

Thats the seed heads on St augustine, in a couple of weeks they will be gone.
