I am in the market for a mower to maintain my personal 3/4 acre lawn. I have tlooked at various brands and such, still I am undecided. Recently I was directed towards toro. I have studied the toro z2400 and z4220, the main difference seeming to be cut size and horsepower. would it be worth the extra money for the bigger mower? Any suggestions for other brands etc... are greatly appreciated. I prefer to remain under $3,000. Thanks for you assistance, it is greatly appreciated.

Look at the Hustler Sport before you decide on the box store toro mower. I have to say that i did have the Toro z5000 and it was a good cut but the spindles and the idler arm bolts are weak. I moved up to a commercial hustler myself but for your application the sport would be an ideal machine that would last several years. IMHO. Chris

Chris, thanks for the heads up. We have a local hustler dealer, I called and will be going to test drive one on monday. However, I am still interested in the Toro. Perhaps driving each will tell the tale of which one I want to purchase...thanks for your suggestion, I greatly appreciate it
