They are a subsiduary of a larger LCO offering lower prices. This is how you lowball the scrubs.

Don't think I would want to mow 9,000 sf with a 21" for $18.

It works.

We have 2 company names.

1 Total Landscaping - premium residential and comercial, Run 2 crews full time, trucks, trailers, and equipment always look great. Absolutly no short cuts.

2 DJ Landscaping- Mow and go (cut, trim and blow) no more no less. quick and cheep. Have a two guy crew and work in consentrated area to cut on drive time. We clear about $ a week after overhead.

lets see im over 9000 so xstra 2.50.thats 20.50.
three acres for that aint bad.
:) just kidding,to be honest ,this idea that there is one way to run a lawn service,is destined, im afraid for the dinasaurs
fate.those who adjust an adapt, will survive.i get a great deal of enjoyment from making a lawn look its best.however that equipment needs to be making me money all the time.
so i do what ever it takes to make that happen.more than one way to skin a cat.

Why dont they mow with 36"-48" walk behinds ? why 21" pushes ??? Its a damn shame that they will be putting all that effort into those yards for only 18 bucks....you figure a 2 man crew it will take what 25 minutes to mow, trim, edge, blow that means if you have to good workers working for 10.00 per hour that would mean that another 4 bucks off the 18 bucks for the lawn $2 dollars for fuel, $1 dollar for other material (i.e trimmer line, ear plugs ect.) So thats $11.00 bucks profit before taxes for the owner . To me is sucks. I wont step into a yard for under $35.00 most lawns I do are $55+ per cut for 10,000 sq. ft. lots

Bunton Guy, how do you figure a 2 man crew taking 25 min with a 21". My crews can knock off 5 or 6 $17 lawns per hr. if they are side by each.
Push mower is faster & safer in the hands of employees doing smaller lawns.

I guess some people have it figured out and make a killing, you have to remember that it is cheaper to run a 21" than the bigger mowers. I'd think it'd even out somewhere though.

I think that the second is the most irritating website I have ever been to. That music .. oh my. They're obviously using the 'quantity over quality' theory. There's NO WAY they can do a great job!! Probably EXTREMELY average. I do like the "our fleet of trucks start every Monday out at the carwashblahblahblah". Ok! Sounds good.
