I'm not very familiar with the C-series CAT's and I heard in a video about the new CTL's that you can change the control pattern in the michine.
So is it like Bobcat's SJC control's,You can have the standard left joystick as your drive function and right joystick for your boom and bucket and then beable too change it too the "H" pattern?
Here's the video,Listen around 1:30 seconds and it tells about the control change.

Thanks for any info:)

Thats exactly what it does, I've never set in a Cseries that is loaded, but from that vid it seems there is a button the left side of the dash that you push to change the pattern. It goes in to detail about the pattern change around 1:45
And in the beginning did you notice he curled out of the pile? :)

I have a question on the pattern changer. If Case is so insignificant why did Cat spend the effort to have it?

If Cat is so insignificant, why did Case spend the money to allow Cat Style Control change?

HA that and high flow are the only options mine doesn't have.
With my 84" light materials bucket I can curl a FULL bucket of Gravel and DIG DEEP into a semi dry pile of top soil. I can lift out of it too.

Ah digger, TK had the ISO pattern in their machines before CAT ever dreamed of a skid steer. Its not a Cat pattern its ISO, a common pattern on other types of equipment, certainly not exclusive to CAT skid steers. CAT certainly is not insignificant, if it wasn't for CAT, CASE would have to spend all its time beating up on BC, that gets old, CAT is actually an easier target.

Case did that because every once in a blue moon a Cat guy runs out of Kool-Aide and finds himself wanting...stops at the Case dealer and finds out Wow, this is what torque is! Another happy ending and the Dark side grows more powerful.:)

That's funny because after owning three Case machines I ran out of Kool-Aid and found myself wanting and went to the Cat dealer and found out what a real machine is all about.

Because
1) rental machines frequently have H-pattern controls;
2) Cat knew that winning over some Case (and Bobcat) guys meant offering H-pattern controls.

As much as I feel the Cat is the superior machine, if it didn't have the H-pattern it would have been a deal breaker for me.
I sure am glad I didn't have to be stuck with Case.

I agree, I think it worked out best for everyone involved. I don't think you could have found a machine that is better suited for you. :clapping: You might want to mark your calender. I show your first service due on 2013 (based on 500 hour intervals). Thats assuming the Mayans are wrong.:waving:

:laugh: Just turned over 150 hours this weekend. She still has that new car smell.
Getting ready to close the track for the summer so she won't see much use for the next three months other than cleaning the weeds my off lots.
Which reminds me, I have to start looking for a flail mower attachment. Nothing on ebay, anybody have any thoughts on where I can find a good used one?

If its not real heavy stuff check out a bush hog, I was pleased with how well they mowed brush and I could take down a 3in tree with the one I rented from Bobcat..

Hey I had to make sure some pahr-tan flag-waver didn't come along and ask, "Yah, why did cat put CASE controls in the new C (for CASE)-series if CASE ain't worth ^*#%?!?!"
