I have a very close family friend that needs some work done. With the info below, what should I charge for labor?

He wants 5 yards of mulch spread. Very easy to access, can throw right out of truck in most spot, some wheelbarrow, not much.
He wants about a good truckload of sticks and leaves hauled away. About enough to fill a 5x8 trailer 3-4 feet high.

-5 yards of mulch at $35.00 a yard = $175
-Dumping fee for brush = $20
-Fuel = $25

It should take around six to seven hours to finish the job. What should the total be, taking in account the time I have to go and pickup the mulch, about an hour.

Thanks for the help!

I would be in the 450-500 range depending on how it looks.

70 a yard for mulch is 350.

100 to 150 for brush.

But it would not take me no six to seven hrs to complete.

I dont have a dump fee as I have 50+ wooded acres so all that would end up back there.

thanks for the reply, I was thinking $400- $425, just because he is a close family friend, how does that sound for everything

That sounds fair to me, as long as you're still making some profit from the deal.

I do 60/yard, and I'd charge probably around 100 for the debris, and like the above poster I have a spot in the woods by my house to dump it, so no dump fee for most things.

I'd charge about 400.
