Have a lady that wants me to give her a price on trimming her lilacs bushes that measure roughly 4' x 60', 12' high. I have a free compost site. You guys think half day job? 4-5 hours?
Also when is the best time to trim them? They are in full bloom now. Thanks, Tim

After the flowers fade (late spring). Remove no more than 1/3 of the bush. Cut old wood that has poor blooms or crossed limbs. Rake all leaves after they have fallen to prevent powdery mildew next year. Add lime/fert before flowers open in acid soils. Can't give an estimate (homeowner).

Thanks for the help. We are in full bloom now. I"ll just tell the homeowner XX per hour and see if she still wants the work.
