Found this on HEF.I'm sure they don't help the ride,but for extreme siturations they would help.For dirtrock, and mud!

I'm sure it would help in mud, but I think the ride would go to sh!t. Once they're on, they're on for good, or at least a PIA to get back off. You could probably still run on pavement without much damage, but again, it would be a horrible ride. I see main advantage just in mud, and if that's the case, steel OTT tracks might be a better option. I'd like to run a machine with them on and see the difference.
Haven't seen you on here in a while Construct'O... I wish you would quit sending that rain this way!

If he added more, like say to every sprocket hole, I would say the ride would be better, but it's still better than that goofy system from Skid Steer Solutions:
