Does anyone have insurance for ground excavation?

My insurance provider doesn't offer coverage for digging and I wanted to see if anyone has advice on companies that do offer this type of coverage and what to expect for prices.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

I would think general contractor insurance would cover it? That is what I have for lawn care. When I first started I told our agent that I needed insurance that would cover anything and everything having to do with lawn care and tree removal. That is what he set me up with, my insurance is through state farm. The only thing they do not do is workmans comp. you might want to contact them and see what they say.

Mine is state farm also and they told my brother that they don't cover excavating so I was thinking I would have to try another carrier. Maybe I will call them again on Monday and see what they have to say.

gen lib does not cover that. Excavating means going dipper than planting a tree. And using some type of a machine. Its not cheap if you not in the busness of needing it.
