Has anyone used this product in flower beds for invading bermudagrass control? I have shrubs, Crepe Myrtles and ornamental grass planted. The bottle says for lawns, but it also says will not harm mature ornamental grasses. I just called Bayer and they did not recommend it but the rep just kept repeating for lawns only. Not sure whether I want to risk it.
Thanks

you're better off looking into Acclaim Extra or Ornamec

I've been using the Bermudagrass Control For Lawns and it's great. I dunno what else to say. I've tried several brands but nothing worked better than Bayer (http://www.thehardwarecity.com/?sku=2065266) .

Anyone tried it? Will it really take Bermuda out of Kentucky bluegrass? Or is this a huge exaggeration? Is the active ingredient known by another name in the industry?
I take that back. Edit--The product is Acclaim--never worked for me.

Used both Fusillade II/Turflon Ester mix in Spring/Fall with good results and Acclaim/Turflon June/July/August apps with better results. Have you used Acclaim with Turflon? I think that really improves the efficacy with either Fusillade or Acclaim. I like Acclaim because its a little bit easier to use in the summer. I've seen trials that have shown 100% control, but can vary depending on if lawn stress is present.

Fusilade II works good in ornamental beds. It also works good in zoysia lawns to take out bermuda. If using on ornamentals do not mix with anything other than surfactant. Turflon(triclopyr) would devastate ornamentals:nono:

I decided not to use the Bayer, I took it back. I did however use the Ornamec. Now that stuff worked great. Don't expect fast results like Roundup, but it worked well and its over the top application. I put 4 applications down, once a week. The Bermuda turned brown after this first app. The only problem is that the bermuda will still need to be pulled out of the ground, or just hit it with a trimmer like I did. The Ornamec did stop it from growing.
BTW, beware Ornamec, I guess like other selective products, wasn't cheap. I think I paid $65 for a quart but it lasts and it came with a complimentary bottle of surfactant.

Fusillade is more than the Ornamec for a quart (~$80/quart if memory holds), but it has a far higher concentration of same AI (24% vs. 6.75%). Just FYI for future.

Yeah, I considered that % when deciding between the two. I was a little worried about the over the top application and went with the lower concentration, especially since the concentration was about 3x as much.

You can make use of the bermuda grass control for lawns (http://www.thehardwarecity.com/?sku=2065266).
