Have a quick quesion for the grub experts. I have a customer that had a lawn that was destroyed by grubs. There is very little grass clumps showing now. The home owner brought in 18 yards of loam, spread it, and rototilled it to mix it with the existing topsoil. A fert company came in before the loam was spread and tilled and put down a treatment for grubs. (not sure what exactly was applied) During the tilling process home owner sees a "bunch" of grubs.

!. Customer wants me to hydroseed lawn. Can I do so even thou the lawn was treated with grub control and then tilled in?

2. Will the lawn have time to establish itself before the grubs start feeding on the roots?

3, Should I seed it then have a company come in and do a grub control say like 6 weeks later? (im not liscenced)

Any help would be greatly appreicated thanks.

ps we are located in new hampshire.

Find out what grub control was used. Dylox will be gone in a couple of weeks. Merit will last several weeks maybe months.
Probably you can hydroseed without problems, then treat for grubs in mid-July. Make sure the lawn is irrigated--an irrigated lawn can withstand a grub infestation without problems--unless the population is extremely high.
