Should have been my screen name, LOL
I got my license 2years ago, while working for a huge co in Minneapolis.
The only training we had was "put this in a bucket and pour it in the tank"
So now I'm going out on my own. And, I'll stay small potatoes as I like to have time with the grandkids.

Anyway.....
I recently moved up to MN from TX {2yrs ago}and wanted to know what fungas I should watch out for? I've seen snow mold in early spring, but what about now, since the temps are rising? I keep my fert aps on the low side. No since on attributing to the thatch that seems prevailant in many lawns here.
The lawns I am servicing are KBG. Some seem a little behind, and some seem to have places where the turf is not even going to grow grass. All are full sun.

Thanks

Coming from Texas you likely won't find fungus/disease issues here the way you probably did down there. You might see some things like Dollar Spot, Necrotic Ring Spot, Fairy Ring, and once every few years you may see a little pythium if things get real bad. Not that often around here that a fungal disease is bad enough to warrant a fungicide app.

No offense intended to the LCO's from this area, but it's not a real tough place to grow grass... pretty basic fertility requirements, stay on top of your pre-emerge apps and broadleaf control and you'll handle the majority of it just fine. Two of the biggest factors here (and most places), water management and mowing are often out of your control...

Thanks,
I'm praying for rain right now. I turned a few sp systems on the past couple of weeks too. I set them up to water at 60% seasonal, but may need to re-adjust to 100% pretty soon. Lots of wind and little rain seems kinda tough to deal with right now. Plus the temps are rising.

As far as the fungus in TX it was lots of brown patch and take-all.
Just hoping that one of my {KBG} lawns isn't seeing this. It looks similar to
TARR. But I dunno without more research.

Thanks again.
