do a spray test with the MSMA and Three Way on Fescue.
I did on KBG today. Applied 1 oz pr 1k at 70deg. Low end app so I can see results and make adjustments.
I've seen a few post that say to mix the Three Way first then add MSMA, because it will coagulate.

I have used MSMA and 3-way in the same tank just add your MSMA last. Remember MSMA will control broadleaf weeds too, just not many. MSMA will control dandelions. So you may be able to just use MSMA. Both products are labled for fescue but-- MSMA and 3-way is a hot mix and since msma only works when nights are 75 plus degrees it will be hot during the day. Use caution. I always use liquid fert in the tank to counter the yellowing of MSMA and tell customers to water the next day. I use this on really bad new accounts. I hate fescue, 99% of all our lawns are bermuda and the fescue is just a pain in the ars. I have no all fescue lawns and wont take any either.

Uh, won't you guys in the South have to be coming up with a different plan sometime soon, using something else other than MSMA?
MSMA is going bye-bye for residential turf, ditch lines, fence rows, storage yards & similar non-crop areas, after 12/31/10.
It will no longer be labeled for these uses after the end of this year, just a limited amount of golf, sod farm, & highway use remain. And don't be surprised if the EPA doesn't pull the plug on those in a few years, too.
Inorganic arsenic isn't anything to play around with when it comes to groundwater, the complexity of soils, and the security & safety of our drinking water! :dizzy:
What do your regional chemical reps say about viable & realistic MSMA replacements coming out onto the market?

My last seminar I attended all the reps said " THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR MSMA"
I looked at DRIVE but cost wise it is what near $90.00 an acre
and MSMA is closer to about lets say $8.00 an acre just off the top of my head guessing. MSMA is the bomb, its like gasoline it supresses and controls so many grassy weeds. There is no chemical made that does what MSMA will and it will take a mixture of multiple chemicals to get even come close to comparing to MSMA. Just my opinion!
