I have a 2510 C4 grass trimmer. I bought it last year and I have had real good luck with it. Runs great with plenty of power.I think Shindiawa makes a great product.

They are the best hands down. I have 2 c-4's listed below. They are the best hand held equipment I have ever had in almost 20 years in the biz. The multi-tool I have for 6 seasons at least. Over 100 accounts. I couldn't be happier.

Allot of guys on the board here have said the trimmer is real heavy; do you have any comments on that?

yeah I just put straight gas in them. No really they had to have at least 800 hrs or so. That is a low estimate. I used the multi tool as hedge trimmer and grass trimmer. They were the best handheld's I ever owned. I bought another shidy multitool now. I believe its m242.

It was a joke, people on here swear by Amsoil at 100:1, it was a jab at those guys.

I have the M242 also, I have the short reach articular hedge attachment. It work really well. I had to change to the new choke assembly because the old one was not good as experienced by other people. It always start with 2 to 4 pulls. Take about 30 seconds to warmup though.
I thought those C4 engine should last way more than 800 hours!!! You ever open them and look for reason? What oil you use and at what ratio?

50-1 It may have many many more like I said. That is a lot for a 2-cycle engine. You can't even pull the rope. How many hours do uou expect from a 2-cycle? It very well have 1200 or more who really knows. I do at least 5,000 in bushes every year times 6 seasons. I also use it to trim grass on 110 accounts I had around 75 6 years ago. That is awesome longevity on a 350 dollar piece of equipment. Does this help you more Alan?

My stuff is still low hours, I read from here people claim 1500 to over 2000 hours on those commercial trimmers!! Sounds like from your number of accounts, you have lot more hours than 800.....or even 1200!!!
I like the C4 engine, I would have got the M2510 if I were to do it again. I have the EB3410 C4 hand held blower also, no warmup, easy pull start.
Does your 2510 need warm up? I am seriously considering the DH2510 double side 30" hedge trimmer. I am just waiting for the Christmas sale from my dealer and see what they offer.
You have the HT2510, how do you think about the blades comparing to Stihl HS81, Maruyama or Tanaka if you ever have experience with them. I have Shindaiwa and Echo and I think the Shindaiwa blades cut a little better than the Echo HC151.
