Seems that my battery is not holding a charge. Been sitting all winter, charged it,, and ran it for 30 minutes. Dead after a few days sitting. What's the model needed for my mower? Any suggestions for a battery that will last the longest?

thanks...

Jpstyle,

Thanks for the questions. First you'll want a battery with a U-1 category code and a minimum of 245 cold cranking amps or CCA. You can go with more than 245 CCA but I wouldn't recommend you go with less.

Food for thought. Many lawnmower batteries fail through the winter months. Many of these failures can be prevented by keeping the battery full of fluid (if required), disconnecting the battery when not in use and keeping it fully charged with a standard automotive "trickle" type battery charger.

Please let me know if we can be of any further assistance.

Thanks

Terry
