hey all,

i've got an older komatsu excavator (pc220lc-3) we use, every so often, on our small tree farm. it's apparent, some @$$hole dumped sand/gravel in the hydro tank. thankfully she didn't run too long, before i suspected something was wrong. good thing i stopped, cause the filter caved in on itself and almost got sucked into the system.

called the dealer (binder machinery/so. plainfield nj) and said the dump pump filter is $90. the filter is small (3 X 3/4 inch) and looks like some of the filters i've changed in smaller landscape equipment. i realize everything about heavy equipment is big $ BUT are there any other places you all get maintenance parts from, at a more reasonable price... or am i stuck paying 90 bucks for a 15 buck part?

thanks, looking forward to hearing from you all. have a good one.

If you have a Napa Parts close by, I would give them a try.
Take serial # from the machine and they should be able to help.
