first mulch bid howd i do?

Passed out 20 fliers yesterday, got a call today from a couple that wants me to do mulch and basically get the yard in shape. I measured it out and it was 343 sq ft and they want the mulch to be aout 2in thick. It costs me about $35 a yd of pine mulch (they want pine) i have to stick edge the boundaries and tear up the beds blow em out and lay mulch. I estimated total time to be about 1 hr and bid at $130. Was i close?

(2) yards pine mulch = $85.00/yard installed = $170.00
(1) hr misc. edging = $75.00


Total $245.00

I think the estimate that PAPS gave you is a little more realistic. An hour to do all that work by yourself doesn't seem enough.

Ok wow I was off oh man well first real mulch job. I don't think it will take more than an hr for me to do since it is one spot and a there isn't much to tear out, but i bet Paps is right and the bid was about half of what it is worth. I ll learn for the future.
