Had never seen a green skid steer from JD before. Does anyone know if it came from the factory GREEN? It sure looks like it. Does it being green have any meaning? It does not have any rental marking on it (Sunbelt and maybe some others paint machines).
Thank you for the replies... I have not been on here in a good while. Hope everyone is busy.
I purchased it and am putting a new left pump in it. Parts did not seem to be an issue. -SL

As far as I'm aware, green was not factory standard equipment. Maybe the original owner ordered it green, which I'm sure Deere would do at the factory by special request or someone repainted the machine green.

The older Deere skid steers from the 80's were green, but they were the old Mustangs.

I've seen a few green machines out there, but all the ones I've seen were repainted that way. Most of the time a dealer did it to appease a farmer who wanted all of his equipment to be green. Some of the better ones look good enough to have come from the factory, but as far as I'm aware, that's never been done.

Thank you men. The paint job was very well done. The second paint job that put it back to Black and Gold is also good but not as good.
We got the hydraulic pump out today. Opened the pump up and it was destroyed inside. Just short of $1,400 and we will have a new pump and some o-rings on Friday.

John Deere did paint some 200 series machines green/black - they were units sold directly to the Sunbelt rental chain. Somewhat a darker Green then the AG Deere green color.
Only other sslder painted Green by Deere was the model # 125 from back in the late 70's early 80. Very small machine.
EDIT: Notice your posting a series II - doubt any of these were painted green for Sunbelt. Don't think they did any dealings with Sunbelt under this series but I could be wrong.

Don't forget the models 70 and 90. Still see a few of them around working.

Except in the 70's and 80's they looked like my toy here.

I will post some pictures up. Researched the title and was originally sold to a guy a couple towns over... No Sunbelt but was definately green. I am going to look him up in the phone book this week. -SL

Then it was repainted by someone with too much free time on their hands.
