How to locate HOA contacts

There seems to be a lot of HOA work in my area, how do u locate the people in charge of accepting bids for these, is there a listing somewhere or do u just go knockin in the sub division and ask the residents?

most hoa common area contracts (atleast here in N. Texas) are managed by a property / community management company. that is who you will need to get in touch with.
