*trucewhiteflag*Bought 2 BCZ2650T's, put on Shinnie Speed feed heads and they are better than my other trimmers . Dealer said a couple of thousand RPM's on the motor an the gearbox is geared down a little more than the 2610. I know it rev's up quicker and you can run the string out farther than the BCZ 3000's and 2610, and my 270 Shinnie won't even stay with it. I like the new breather setup better, It's the screen type. Don't care much about the new throttle grip. It,s like the Stihl where you need to push down on the top lever so you can squeeze the bottom. I am going to rotate all the rest of my trimmers out with these BCZ T's when the time comes. It sure throttles up real quick.

Nothing is done to the engines, just a gear reduction in the gear case, and the new hand grip/trigger.

I just picked up two 3050's last week. My 2610s were recently stolen so I needed replacements. I bought two Stihl FS110s but took them back after a week. Too heavy, too much vibration, and hated the heads.

I went with the 3050s primarily because two reasons. Obviously more power and ironically, they weigh .3 lbs. less than the 2650s. The engine design and a different drive system allow this unit to weigh slightly less.

Power is great. It barely drops off in really thick stuff. It revs up quickly. I don't like the new handle as much as the older one but it's OK. I also bought 2 of RedMax's new MaxSpeed heads but haven't put them on yet. :usflag:

whose the damn ****** putting the top lever on the whip handles that must be depressed to pull the trigger

it just makes tool more costly and labor intensive to make ,
and less efficient to run

the old redmax handles are PERFECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
