Hi,

I have had a JD lt 118 for 4 years (150 hrs). It just started having this issue: After starting, I can mow from 5-10 min. then it starts acting like it is cutting out..out of gas and then it will stop in a minute or so. If I let it sit for awhile it will start up for another 5-10 min. If I add stable to it immediately it will start right up and run for awhile also. I have changed the fuel filter, plugs air filter.

Any ideas?

Does is it have a single cylinder engine? If it does, I think it does, the coil may be going out. If it takes a while before you can start it again it is most likey the coil.

I agree with Nathan. Sounds very much like a bad ignition coil. Good Luck :)
