I finally found one of those "deals" every one else finds or talk about. I finally bought my dump truck, a 2000 GMC 3500 4x4. The body needs a cab corner (which has a small dime sized hole through it), and a few dings straightened out on both doors and the bed has some surface rust, maybe a days worth of TLC and a quick paint job to make her look new. Interior is like new, frame is in excellent condition. It has a 7.4 L and 69,438 miles. It does need a fuel line which is on order. Any ways best of all, $3800.00 and a Fisher 9ft V blade in almost new condition for an additional $1500.00. Pics when done cleaning it up.

LOL, will do! And to think I almost bought 2 other trucks a week before...a 2001 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 with a bad tranny for 3500.00 and a 97 F350 4x4 flat bed dump (in rough shape) for 4500.00. Right place, right time I guess.

My 87 F-350, mason dump, electric over hydrolics, 8 foot meyer diamond plow with pump under the hood.

$3000........ bought off e-bay, flew to CT and drove it home. That was the most white-knuckled ride of my life.

I've put a lot of money in it though to get it back to par, but it's much better than having a payment on a new truck. That and the parts are cheap and it's easy to work on.

Luckily my neighbor is a mech at the local Peterbilt shop.Thumbs Up. Nothing like swapping labor for labor when I get into replacing something that I'm not sure about.
