I've got 659 sq. ft. of beds to install flowers in.....the flowers I'm wanting to use require a 9"-12" spacing.
How many plants needed?
What formula did you use to figure this ?

The estimate I got was....

758 flowers....

which..here..would be around 30 trays

this is done by a formula....i have a chart that will figure the amount you need for any amount of spacing...

if you want..i can email it to you...just let me know

Spaced at 9" it will take 1169 plants
Spaced at 12" it will take 658 plants
Got this off of a small landscape program I have.

longslawn, What's the name of that program? Do you find yourself using it a lot?

The program is called LandDesigner for Windows. I've had it for about 8 years and only use it for this type of stuff. It is actually a design program with a material program but I don't use it for design work. It looks terrible.
