Going to a Netafim-sponsored lunch and hour seminar at my distributor this afternoon.
Found out from the distributor yesterday that it no longer needs the air relief valve and has built in check valves at each emitter.
He's carrying only the 0.4 gpm and 0.6 gph, and NOT the 0.9 gph. Which flow rate do you use most?
I've been using Agrifim Duraflo Dripperline (1 gph at various distances available). I like the fact that it use .700 fittings, so it's versatile. But it costs more.
The Netafim costs less, but means I have to carry one more group of fittings to get it done. Is it worth that additional hassle?

Weren't there some push-the-pipe-into-the-fitting connectors that fit both .700 and the next size down?

Rainbird makes a fitting that's pretty universal for drip. Works OK, not sure how cost-effective it is.

But even if you start using that, that means a new set of fittings.

Rain Bird Landscape Drip Line. I've laid MILES of that stuff. Never had any problems. Would you rather buy product from an American company who makes the product here in the USA (California and Alabama) or from an Israeli company who is funded by the Israeli government.... I'm just sayin' :)
The Rain bird universal compression fittings work great too when working on sites with multiple sizes / brands of tube already installed. If it is a new install and we're doing landscape drip line we just use tthe insert fittings.

I've always used 9gph Netafim. We've been using the tubing with the LDC built-in ,works great.

We use the 6gph tubing for the grid. On certain areas where plants will require more water, we will put in the 9gph drip.

You are paying less for Netafim than Agrifim?

Hmmm, sounds familiar.

I use all the standard flow rates, but 0.26 the most. Just special order what you need, it only takes a couple of days to get it (being it is shipped from SoCal).

When it comes to micro irrigation, Israel .... thank you very much Mr. RB rep.
In fact, the Techline CV is the only reason I even considered specing drip again, and the stuff ain't cheap .... but then the best never is.

Just because I'm pushing American made products doesn't mean that I am a Rain Bird Rep.

Pull for whatever (RB) product you want. I choose to pull for the best, regardless of who or where it is made. Netafim makes the best inline drip products on the market, end of story. RB makes the best spray body in the biz, so I pull for their spray bodies.

Hard to beat that netafim. I used RB for awhile but went back to netafim. I prefer push in barbs. But if RB is made in America I'll give them any opportunity I can. If Israel takes out that Iranian nuke site though they will get my business for a loooooong time. If they take out the NK nukes and free the kidnapped journalists I'll become a customer for life.
