Hi everybody, first post after lurking a while. Been getting opinions on trimmers, (and boy, are there lots of opinions ). Finally settled on a Stihl FS90R. Used it yesterday for about an hour, and it runs great and has very good power.
My question now is what are some things that I can do to keep it running like this. I've read horror stories about carbon induced valve failures and such, and I'd really rather avoid that if possible. I plan on using the Stihl Ultra synthetic oil and 93 octane gas. Is there anything else that can help with these engines? Has anybody tried using a small amount of Seafoam in the gas to help keep the carbon buildup down? I've used it in lots of other engines, and it seems to help.
Anyway, great site, and appreciate any info.
Dave
