I was at the dealer today and was not interested in looking at this particular brand but the dealer praised it highly. The more I looked at it, the more interested I got. My first choice for a new machine was a Kubota ZG227 or a Toro Z400...but this Yard Shark is actually impressive. It's not much to look at, but it really is built very well upon close inspection. Everything I looked at appeared to be heavy duty and no BS. All solid steel tubing for the hydraulics (no rubber hoses). Very nice adjustable seat too. It just looks to be a simple and well built machine that is made to cut grass and not necessarily win a beauty contest.

Has anyone used one of these? Like it? Price is around $7500 for the 60" model with 24HP Honda engine.

There's a brochure here:

The brochure I got at the dealer has more details than the one online for some reason.

Thanks

This is the first I've heard of them.

I had never heard of them either until I saw it. The guy at the dealer said the Yard Shark rep came around 3 times trying to get him to carry the product and he finally gave in when he saw the rep take off on the mower and mow this extremely steep hill by the shop. I found an old thread on this site about the yard shark but it's from back when they were first introduced. I'd like some more input if possible from anyone that's used some of these. I think they're made in MN.

Here's that thread I mentioned:
