Trimmer wont idle

We've got a Poulan 1500 25cc trimmer that wont idle. I know its a wimpy trimmer but its an $80 wimpy trimmer I got for 10 bucks. You have constantly apply some throttle to keep it from killing. I tried adjusting the screw that changes the idle throttle, didn't work. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Most 2-stroke trimmers will have H (high) and L (low) on the carb. Unless the "idle" screw you talked about was the Low, adjust the Low until it's where you like it. GL
