This is my first post on here so please don't be to rough on me.. I'm asking this question for a guy that I work with. He 2002 Toro z 1852. The mower has 3 blades. The middle and the left blade are leaving about an inch strip of uncut grass. Can anyone give me some ideas to pass on that could help correct the problem. He replaced the blades thinking that would help but it didn't*trucewhiteflag*.

sharpen the blades, scrape under the deck, slow down and double cut when you can. Its spring, its wet, were all going through it at times.

I had the same problem! Make sure your tires are at the air oressure they are suppose to be and then make sure your deck is slightly leaning forward. I am a big guy so make sure if the operator is big then you may need more air in back tires! It worked for me. Need to place this in mechanics or lawn maintenance.

Are your blades streaking when mowing in a straight line or when turning. Most mowers will streak in a turn because the blades don't overlap enough.

I just had this issue today with my 48" MEtro. One of the other posts talked of having the deck slightly leaning forward?

Is this the correct way?

If all else fails, check with the dealer it was purchased from.

This happens to us too. I think it's from dull blades or the grass being to long and dull blades.

Correct new blades should not be leaving a line unless the mower is being ran too fast or the grass is too tall(kinda the same as too fast). If the blades are not new it is typical for older blades to do this as they wear on the corners.
