A friendly reminder

HEllo Everyone:

after reading the post about the tragic accident, I wanted to post a reminder to everyone,
any time your working where there is a swimming pool.
there MUST be a lock on the GATE,
every time you enter or exit you must lock the gate.
the gate MUST be locked at all times.

If I remember correctly the pool is required to have a fence a minimum of 42" tall with a self latching gate. I may be wrong but I think the gate has to be latched at all times. This was what my insurance guy told me when I had mine installed several years ago. The funny thing is that you could have a fence 10' tall with a dozen locks and security, but if someone does enter after all of this and gets hurt the homeowner is still responsible. (mine is insured with a 6' privacy fence with self latching gate, but I also keep it locked) I could not get the insurance for the pool until the fence and gate met the requirements.
