kaw 23hp fh680v oil leak need help

I have a 23hp kawasaki on my bobcat ztr. it is leaking oil out the top seal of the motor, under the flywheel. Does the seal get replaced from the top?
or do i have a major repair here? any help would be greatly appreciated.

The seal can be replaced from the top, But.... Take a couple of larger screwdrivers and try moving the flywheel side to side.

This sign of a leaking seal is also a sign that the top crankshaft bushing may be worn in which the crank beat the seal out causing the leak.

And as luck would have it, Kawasaki doesn't offer a replacement upper bushing.
