I have a FS130 Stihl strimmer/brushcutter with a 20-2 Autofeed strimmer head on it.

However when ever i start themachine the nylon gets spat out straight away, have had the machine 2 years and have had no problems with it but now its started to spit its nylon out whenever you rev the engine.

I thought maybe the heads were damaged so i put on a new 20-2 strimmer head and it still did it so i changed the whole head assembly to a spare we had in the workshop and it still did it.

If anyone has any idea how to prevent this from happening please let me know.

Thanks

Im probably wrong but what line are you using?? .85? if so just maybe a larger line would work go to the dealer and ask him if he would give you small piece of .105 line and see if that helps?

Unfortunatly its not a line issue, ive tried various different sizes and with no luck.

As well as that i was using hte same line for 2 years previously with no problem at all so i cant imagine it would be that but i appreciate the reply.

Get a Shindaiwa Universal Speed-Feed head on it, and you will like it ALOT better, and it will get rid of the problem. They can be obtained for $35 off of eBay and other sources.

sorry cant help, i think ours have the bump heads still.... the only ones ill use.

I know the 130 has balls out power, it killed the factory stihl .85 or .95 line immediately at full throttle, i wouldnt run anything under .105 in it and am considering using the .105 in our redmax bcz3000 30cc and buying a roll of new .130 line for the stihl 36cc, its a beast for heavy weeds and hard trimming.
