03 John Deere x585 not turning?

Hey gang I have searched an searched an can not find any info on this. Has any one run into this problem or know what for me to look at? I was mowing a yard sunday. an the tractor just stopped steering. the steering wheel just free spins an does not stop. I know it is hydro steering an all the fluids are good an was all recently changed at the dealer. there are no leaks that I can see an all hoses seem fine. does anyone have a clue to help me

I really don't know much about these (anything actually) but I would assume there is a linkage from the steering wheel to the hydro pumps. If you can look in there and check the linkage, probably a good idea. It could have come disconnected at the wheel or at the pumps. I also don't know if it is single or dual? hydro for the steering, if it's dual then it's not the pumps, because one side would still be good. Don't know if this is helpful or not, but just making suggestions. GL

Did some work on it last night with my father in law an figured it out. the hydro cylinder up front went bad. the shaft that comes outta the cylinder unscrewed from the inside from the internal piston so it would not push it a back in forth. what a pain. Thanks for the info. an hope mine will help some one in the future.
