Do any of you guys have experience and success transplanting live oaks?
I have 2 that need to be transplanted. Both in the ground about 5 years. about 8-10inch calipers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I am in your area (port charlotte) I know a guy with a tree farm that grows mainly live oaks. He uses a tree spade to move them all the time. If you need help he is "insight landscape" If you need a phone number pm me. He has three spades and one of them is HUGE! He is a tree expert.

I dont think I need a spade, they are pretty large, but I think a few guys could handle it.
