I saw somewhere on here that some can get them for $440 in Florida http://www.stihldealer.net/productdetails-dealer-012497-prodid-464-toplvl-9-catid-9-subcat-9-catprods-52.aspx

I going next week to buy one and I want to see if he'll match the lowest price for a new one from a dealer.

Thats sad I get them for 489$ and i live 10min from stihl's factory. Seams like people farther away from it get them for cheaper.

I hear you on that they wont hear either that's why i stopped buying them from dealers. I know a couple people that work at stihl and they have the chance to buy three things a year at cost so I usually just get stuff from him every year.

Man, your talking about a small difference in price. Quit wasting yours and our time and go to the dealer that is going to take care of you the best. If we were talking about 1000s of dollars on a new z it would be one thing but 30 bucks is nothing.

30 bucks is 1/2 hour of work, tops. What happens if it breaks down and you take it to the dealer where you saved 30 bucks? That blower probably aint makin you any money for a while.

Now that's just being goofy. If the damned dealer wont' service what he sells then Stihl will be happy to find another one that will and I'll find another dealer to buy from.

I mean they're so rare that there are 4 of them within a 15 mile circle here all begging for my business.

30 bucks here 30 bucks there, pretty soon you're talking serious money and I'm always serious about my money.

Guys are always complaining about wealthy people being "tight"... how the hell you think they got that way? Same way I did by watching the pennies and nickels turn into dollars.

No dealer takes care of me I go there as little as possible and I am defiantly going to go to the one that is the cheapest hands down.

Just a thought. Did you ever think that no dealer will take care of you because you are not loyal to them. You go to every dealer in town looking for the best deal. Would you mow someones lawn if they called every other lco every week looking for a better price? I understand that you dont think you need a dealer but think how much more profitable you could be if you had a dealer that would take care of you. eg loaners, 20 minute turnaround

I price shop as well...no sense at all paying more than you have to, I'll do some driving if the price is better at another dealer. And a serive department is a service department, a dealer doesn't treat you any differently if you bought the item elsewhere if you're getting it serviced in their service department.

So Stihl Guy...how do you like your new blower so far?? :)
