My neighbor three houses down has some weeds in his back yard that lay under a Cedar tree line. He wants to get rid of them and lay some bark. Told him that he could till up the soil, rake out what he could, throw some Preen or Casseron down and lay the bark. He also mentioned he didn't want to put down weed block. How would you do it? Thanks.

Hit the ground with roundup, apply your mulch, then hit it with some Snapshot. All done!

You don't want to rototill all those cesar roots under those trees! Go the Roundup route. Check that your cedar roots are not exposed due to mulch or debris under the cedars. Don't want to get too much Roundup on any exposed roots. Good luck.
