For a 27Hp motor with two new tires and a new hydro pump. the motor will run for another 3000 hours atleast.

You need to lower your price significantly for a 7 year old machine with that high of hours on it.

A new engine to me devalues a mower, because it shows that if it did not last past 1500 hours then the machine as a whole probably was not maintained as well as it should of been and/or the machine was ran hard.

If I understand you correctly you said the motor was replaced at 2200 hours and the newer motor has 700 hours on it. If it will run for another 3000 hours then that means I should expect 3700 hours out of it. How come the original motor only got 2200 out of it? Why will the new motor run more hours than the original?

Not trying to be a jerk, but trying to understand your comments.

ahhh..I think I understand. The machine has a total of 2200 and the engine has 700 of those 2200. Correct?

Still not sure how this new engine is gonna run more than the original:confused:

he does need to lower the price. unless he gets a dumb kid to buy it for that amt. which is like suicide, cause you can buy a new one with WAY LESS hours for around the same amt.

The reason it will last longer with the new motor is because the last person who owned it let his crew run it and the guy was cutting a hill and when you cut a hill your oil shift (idk if you know form experience or not) and the oil wasnt checked on it that day so the engine went. The new engine I take care or and change the oil on it every 500 hours and flush the whole system.

Selby im just wondering how long have you been in the business and where are you finding mower that are newer for less. If you do tell me ill buy two of them. I live in fairfield county and around here everything is alot of money so i checked around and that is what a mower is going for. This isnt an exmark this actually has a drive shaft on the mower. The deck is very good besides some paint chips from trees. Ill get some pic and put it up.

not to be a downer, but i purchases a 2002 with 2300 hours with a new motor for $500.00. If it was around a 1,000.00 I would be down at your shop picking it up. I think 5000 is a little high (owning 3 of these mowers myself). I would say 2,000-2,700 would be a fair price anything lower then that is def a deal. Does it have a vac system on it?

Yeah it has a three bag unit on it. Your from CT do you know fairfiled county area

Yes I do know fairfield county, you have to be patient to get a mower for the right price. Would you consider selling the vac separate?

I hope that 500 hours is a typo, and you meant 50 hours or 100 hours, or that motor isn't going to last very long...

Yeah every 50 and that's including getting new filters

heres my thought on price for my area. i just bought a 2005 turf tiger with clamshell bagger and 350 hours for 5k. I have the original owners infor if someone does not believe me, just pm me. I would say around 2k and shipping. yes there were alot of new parts put in there still isnt that much value in a mower with that many hours. maybe part it out, unless you are desperate for the cash.

so this mower cant mow hills, has its oil changed every 500 hrs and if you cut flat ground it will last total of well over 5000hrs? this thing is worth $5k for the entertainment value

... change the oil on it every 500 hours and flush the whole system.

The engine won't last for 3,000 more hours if you only change the oil every 500 hours ... it should be every 50 hours !!

OK, so it looks like the 500 hours was a typo ... this thread is still ******ed ... good luck selling the machine for $ 5,000 ... I just think it's way over priced !!
